Paseándose por la onda disco tardíamente en 1979, se convirtió en un éxito internacional, alcanzando el número seis en la lista de sencillos del Billboard Hot 100 en los EE.UU. y haciéndolo mejor en el Reino Unido, donde pasó tres semanas en el número uno en la lista de singles del Reino Unido en Noviembre de 1979.
