"Me and You and a Dog Named Boo" es el single de debut de 1971 de Lobo. Escrita por Lobo con su nombre real Kent LaVoie, aparece en el álbum Introducing Lobo.
Esta canción trata sobre dos hippies y un perro que hacen un viaje a campo traviesa en un auto viejo que funciona mal. Los protagonistas de la canción quedan atrapados en la arcilla de Georgia, roban comida de un granjero y trabajan para pagarla, y terminan viviendo en Los Ángeles, pero el viejo auto hace que quieran salir a la carretera nuevamente.
El single alcanzó el puesto n.°5 en el Hot 100 y fue la primera de sus cuatro canciones en alcanzar el n.°1 en la lista de Easy Listening, donde tuvo una estancia de dos semanas en el primer puesto en mayo de 1971. La canción también alcanzó el # 4 en el UK Singles Chart en julio de 1971 y pasó cuatro semanas en el # 1 en Nueva Zelanda.
Internacionalmente, "Me and You and a Dog Named Boo" fue la segunda canción más exitosa de Lobo entre más de 15 lanzamientos individuales, solo superada por "I'd Love You to Want Me" del año siguiente.
